Throughout winter you must pay an entry fee to access Mt Buller as you pass through the gates at Mirimbah. The single payment covers entry to both Mt Buller and the neighboring Mt Stirling, providing you with an easy way to see each mountain. Resort entry fees contribute significantly to the costs of providing the wide range of services and facilities provided by the Mt Buller and Mt Stirling Alpine Resort Management Board. INFRINGEMENT NOTICES FOR PARKING All vehicles entering the Mount Buller and Mount Stirling Alpine Resorts during the declared winter season are required to display a valid parking permit at all times. Failure to display a parking permit and/or parking illegally may result in the issue of an Infringement Notice for Parking. Infringement Notices are issued by Authorised Officers of the Board and Victoria Police and placed under the windscreen wiper blade of your vehicle. Infringement Notices for Parking are necessary in order to regulate and control the use of parking spaces within the Mount Buller Alpine Resort. Parking conditions apply to ensure safe and fair access to the Mount Buller Alpine Resort for all visitors to the resort and for commercial operations. Holders of Season Permits for parking in the Mount Buller Village are required to comply with the permit conditions at all times. Notices are issued for a range of offences including – failure to display a parking permit, parking in a No Standing Zone, parking in a snow clearing zone, non compliance of permit conditions, exceeding time restrictions of permits and a number of other offences. The fines for Infringement Notices range between $60 and $105, depending on the offence. HOW TO PAY THE INFRINGEMENT NOTICE Payments are accepted by cheque, money order and credit cards within 28 days of the issue of the Infringement Notice for Parking. Cheques and money orders should be marked “Not Negotiable” and made out to – Mount Buller and Mount Stirling Alpine Resort Management Board. To pay in person take the Infringement Notice for Parking to the Alpine Resort Management Board/Post Office located on Summit Road, Mount Buller between the hours of 8.30am and 5pm Monday to Friday. To pay by post send the Infringement Notice for Parking with your cheque or money order to – Alpine Resort Management Board INFRINGEMENT OFFICER 1 Summit Road Mount Buller 3723 If payment is not received by the due date, it may result in further enforcement action being taken and in the incursion of additional costs. Additionally, future permits may not be granted. The registered owner of the vehicle is responsible for the payment of the Infringement Notice. If you do not wish to pay the Infringement Notice because you were not driving the vehicle at the time of issue you must provide the name and address of the driver to the Alpine Resort Management Board. You may also – a) be eligible for a payment plan. b)request an internal review of the decision to issue this notice.
c)elect to have this matter heard and determined in court.
For additional information on payment plans and the internal review process apply in writing to – Mount Buller and Mount Stirling Alpine Resort Management Board Infringement Officer 1 Summit Road Mount Buller 3723 PAYMENT PLANS Entry into a payment plan will allow for those wanting to pay their infringement notice by installments or an extension of time without accruing additional costs or risking the matter reaching the Infringement Court. Automatic entitlement to be offered a payment plan - A person will be automatically entitled to be offered a payment plan if they are in receipt of any one of the following – ·Centrelink Pensioner Concession Card;
·Department of Veterans’ Affairs’ Pensioner Concession Card;
·Department of Veterans’ Affiars Gold Card; or
·Centrelink Health Care Card.
Discretionary access to a payment plan – The Alpine Resort Management Board may offer a payment plan on review of written applications. The Board will consider circumstances of financial hardship resulting in the applicant being unable to pay the fine in full within the payment period. INTERNAL REVIEW OF THE DECISION TO ISSUE THE NOTICE If you believe there is good reason for you not to pay the Infringement Notice application in writing can be made to the Alpine Resort Management Board for an internal review of the decision to issue an Infringement Notice. Infringement Notices can only be reviewed once. Please include the following information in your request for internal review of the decision to issue the notice – ·name and address;
·Infringement Notice number;
·offence as stated on the Infringement Notice;
·4WD Permit number if applicable;
·car details – including make, type, colour, and registration; and
·An explanation of why you believe the Infringement Notice should be reviewed.

During this period please do not pay the infringement notice. Review will be undertaken by an officer of the Board not associated with the issuing of the infringement notice. The review will be undertaken with reference to the written application. Notification will be received in writing advising whether the Infringement Notice has been withdrawn of if the matter will proceed. HAVE THE MATTER HEARD AND DETERMINED IN COURT You can choose to have the matter heard in the Infringement Court by notifying the Board in writing.
