The Interschools is the largest alpine skiing competition in the southern hemisphere with up to 4,500 competitors.
The Victorian Interschools SnowSports Championships were first staged in 1958 at Mt Buller. In 2006, the event attracted around 5800 entries from more than 120 schools, making it the largest snowsports event of its kind in the world! The Subaru Victorian Interschools SnowSports Championships are conducted over a week, catering for primary and secondary school children from all of Victoria. Young athletes have the opportunity to compete in six snowsport disciplines - Alpine Skiing, Snowboarding, Boardercross, Skiercross and Moguls, and - if successful - qualify for the Australian Interschools SnowSports Championships. The Subaru Victorian Interschools SnowSports Championships attract many of Victoria's top junior skiers as well as many students who are relative novices to snowsports. The competition provides the opportunity for entrants to compete for fun, fitness, their school, trophies and a state title. Download Information
